8th Anniversary...San Fransisco

Ryan and I went to San Fransisco for our 8th Anniversary. We had the best time together.  We decided ahead of time to have no plans and just do whatever, worry free.  We stayed in a hotel in Larkspur, which we were so happy that we did, it kept us out of the city and in the middle of all that we wanted to do....aside from having no plans.  The first night we were there we went and saw a movie called "The Vow", we loved it! We both love a good love story (not much can beat ours though! I should really write it all down one day!).  The next day we took the ferry into SF, it was beautiful...and quite windy as you can see from the next few pictures.

When we got into SF we decided to walk our way through the city to a restaurant called Rocco's Cafe.  We found Rocco's by watching the "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" show.  We figured we couldn't go wrong, and we didn't! It was amazing.  This place is an Italian Diner, it has all the fun character as a hamburger joint but with Italian food....the best.  We had a dish there called polenta, my mouth is still watering thinking about it!

These were some pretty cool bread shapes we saw through the window of the bread factory in SF

One thing on our list that we wanted to do was take a trolly.  Those things are so much fun! We took turns hanging off the side.

After the trolly ride we went to Ghiradelli Square and each got an  ice cream sundae.
We then headed back to the trolly and this was our view on the way back.

The next day we took a drive to Muir Redwood Forest.  It was so beautiful there, everything looked so perfect.

I hid in here and scared some people coming down the trail, Ryan was the look out.

After the Redwoods we headed to the beach to go for a walk, it was a bit cold!

That night we went to a restaurant called "The Melting Pot".  It was such a cool place and the perfect way to finish off our trip.  The restaurant was inside of an old kiln, so all around us was a 5 foot thick wall of brick. We had such a fun time dipping all the food in the fondue, it was delicious!

I can't believe 8 years have already gone by! I love being in love with my best friend.  I am so grateful we have eachother and for the 3 beautiful children we have brought into this world together!
